Rest assured, you don’t have to continue suffering. Our optometrists offer the most advanced and effective dry eye treatments available. We’re as invested in restoring the comfort back to your eyes as you are.

Dry Eye Symptoms

There are many symptoms of dry eye. Here are a few:

  • Gritty/sandy feeling
  • Foreign body sensation (ie. eyelash in the eye)
  • Burning and irritation
  • Blurry and/or fluctuating vision
  • Itching
  • Redness
  • Light sensitivity
  • Eye fatigue and tiredness
  • Tearing
  • Stringy discharge

Some of the treatments in our wheelhouse include:

In 86% of dry eye cases, the underlying root cause is Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), which is essentially a disruption of the tear glands in the eyelids. The only FDA-approved treatment currently available to treat MGD is LipiFlow.

Mibo Thermoflo

Mibo Thermoflo (Miboflo) is an alternative treatment option for Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), which is typically the root cause of dry eyes. Unlike LipiFlow, which applies heat to the eyelids from the inside, Miboflo applies heat from the outside of the eyelids.

Lid Debridement

Debridement is a procedure that cleans up the lid margin. It removes keratin and debris from the openings of the meibomian (tear) glands which can obstruct the ability of the glands to secrete the oils needed by our tears.

“After a month of biweekly treatments, I have noticed relief in my dry eyes – no more sensitivity to lights or significant irritation! The treatments, on top of the hylo drops and medicated eyedrops Dr. Takhar had prescribed me, improved my severe dry eyes.” Arsebel Gancena
