Dr. Emily Sloot
Dr. Emily Sloot was raised in Norfolk County, Ontario. She had a passion for optometry at a young age after needing glasses and vision therapy at the age of 4. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph before her passion took her to Boston to pursue her Doctorate of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry.
Throughout her education in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Sloot had a diverse clinical experience while developing her optometric skills. She had the opportunity to diagnose and treat ocular disease in a variety of settings including two Veterans Affairs hospitals, a community health center, and an Indian Health Services clinic in Alaska. After her graduation in 2017, Dr. Sloot practiced in the greater Boston area for two years. Dr. Sloot is very thankful that her passion led her to new places but she decided to return back to Ontario, which has always been home.
Dr. Sloot is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists of Ontario. She is board certified in both Canada and the US.
Dr. Sloot loves working with patients of all ages and has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She enjoys spending her time with her family, practicing yoga, and traveling.
